After my joint account owner filed a complaint, they mailed a letter stating that I asked for the account closure when I did not. Their incompetent representatives will give you the run around.

They will lie about their failure to protect you as a customer and place the blame on you and your joint owners. They will end your banking relationship just to protect their incompetence. They are only trying to protect themselves and not their customers.

They only freeze our accounts because I told them what happened. Also being denied credit is a violation and being told that I owe them money is a violation when all debts are already paid according to HJR 192.Ĭapital One stated that they decides to freeze all our accounts because they suspected fraud. Also I let her know that my credit was pulled without my knowledge when I applied for credit and when I asked for an increase, both of which are a violation of my rights, according to (b) and section 605(b) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I want this person fired immediately, and I will be reporting this to the FTC as well and the Attorney General's office, if someone does not get me to the proper dept. Then she stated that she was going to talk to her back office and they told her again that, "we don't do that for payments, that your acct would have to be closed" so I told her to close it, she stated that she can't do that because it's not in collection, I told her to transfer me to Payment Processing then, she still refused me. I asked again to speak to the manager of Payment Processing and she again refused to transfer me, she asked what is the nature of the call, I exclaimed payment processing, I asked her for the TIN or the EIN which are one in the same, she stated that she could not do that, could she help me, I told her that I need to speak with the manager of Payment Processing so that I can set up payments, she stated what is this regarding I stated the 1099, she stated that she didn't know anything about that, I told her again that I need to speak to the manager of Payment Processing, she then stated that we don't do that for customers, I told her that not true that I'd just submitted with another company she stated that, "well we don't do that". At the end of the conversation when I asked to speak with the proper dept, she stated she was the only one in that dept, but come to find out she stated that she was in the escalation dept. When contacting Capital One the message says I should receive the check in 60-90 days.Ĭapital One(QuickSilver acct) Adrianna of Escalations dept in Florida refused to transfer me to the Payment Processing Dept. In addition, Capital One continues to charge interest on my Line of Credit while holding over $7,000 in an incorrect account. So, in summary, Capital One made an error and refused to take responsibility by expediting the return of funds as presented for payment toward my Line of Credit. The credit division could transfer the funds to the correct division, nor could the funds be transferred to my bank account, nor could it be expedited by fed ex or another carrier to my attention. Three days later, the issue was not resolved, and no one had the courtesy to inform me that the transaction could not be corrected. The individual with the Capital One Line of Credit assured me the matter would be fixed when I called on day one. However, neither department had a method to resolve the mistake made by Capital One.

" Both departments verified that the title company sent the statement with the correct account number and address. The credit card department said the only other way to resolve the matter was to have the check mailed to me "after a waiting period and then up to 10 additional days for processing.

The title company could not stop payment because the credit card division cashed the check incorrectly. Payment was made by mail from a title company on my behalf to my Capital One Line of Credit for $7,636. Capital One credited a $7,636 check to my credit card account with a $0 balance, resulting in a credit balance of $7,607 because they also decided to charge the $29.00 annual fee against this check.
